
Miss American Samoa Antonina Lilomaiava says she’s preparing for the challenge of representing the territory at the year’s Miss Pacific Islands Pageant.
And she prays that she will do well as an ambassador for the people of American Samoa.
The 2016 Miss Pacific Islands Pageant is set for December 4th in Samoa.
At 19, Antonina was the youngest contestant in the Miss American Samoa contest.
She said that with the support of the Office of Tourism and several individuals and businesses, the Miss American Samoa Inc is putting together a complete package for her entry in the regional competition.
Since she was crowned, Antonina has been busy with a reading program she’s initiated and has visited several elementary schools to read and tell stories to the students.
She has also been a guest and host for several government functions and for visitng cruise ships.
The program of activities for the 2016 Miss Pacific pageant begins November 27 leading up to the actual pageant night on December 4.
The winner will replace reigning Miss Pacific Islanda, Abigail Havora of Papua New Guinea.
